Hudson Hurt Cruises to Victory at DGT Terrapin High School Showcase

The DGT Terrapin High School Showcase was held January 10–11, 2026, on the Fairways Course at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC, featuring a competitive field of 53 high school players. Players enjoyed near-record warm temperatures on Saturday, creating ideal scoring conditions, while Sunday presented a much different test as cooler temperatures and strong winds challenged the field and rewarded patience and precision.

Hudson Hurt of Raleigh, NC, delivered a standout performance to claim the title. Hurt followed an opening-round even-par 70 with a four-under-par 66 on Sunday to finish at four under par, winning by seven shots. Aiden McDonough of Wilmington, NC, earned second place with rounds of 71-72 to finish at three over par. Evann Crooks of Fuquay-Varina, NC, and Eric Chavez of Wake Forest, NC, tied for third place, while David Leasure of Fuquay-Varina, NC, rounded out the top five with a fifth-place finish.
