Hurt, Valkovics, and Phipps Capture Titles at DGT Longleaf Junior Open

The Drip Golf Tour hosted the DGT Longleaf Junior Open on March 7–8 at Longleaf Golf & Family Club, welcoming a strong field of more than 175 junior golfers competing across three age divisions. Players enjoyed two days of outstanding competition at one of the Sandhills’ premier golf venues.

In the High School Division, Hudson Hurt of Raleigh, NC claimed the title after posting rounds of 68 and 70 to finish at six-under par (138). Hurt edged out a tightly packed leaderboard to win by one shot over Ryan Hedgecoe of Fayetteville, NC and Bodie Snyder of Holly Springs, NC, who both finished just behind the champion.

The Middle School Division was captured by Luke Valkovics of Pinehurst, NC, who recorded back-to-back rounds of 70 to finish at four-under par for the tournament. Valkovics earned a two-shot victory over Tommy Testa of Greensboro, NC after two consistent rounds of play.

In the Future Stars Division, Berck Phipps of Raleigh, NC surged to the win with an impressive final-round 66, finishing the tournament at two-under par. Phipps secured the title by two shots over Reid Ehrler of Columbus, OH.
