Spence, Hayes, and Sacramento Claim Titles at DGT Virginia Junior at Kingsmill

The Drip Golf Tour (DGT) Virginia Junior concluded Sunday at the historic River Course at Kingsmill Resort, where a strong field of junior golfers competed March 14–15 on one of the East Coast’s most storied championship venues.  The River Course at Kingsmill, a longtime host of professional events and a classic layout along the James River, provided a memorable test for the junior competitors throughout the weekend.

In the High School Boys Division, Emmett Spence of Arlington, Virginia, captured the title with rounds of 68 and 74 to finish at two-under par for the tournament. Spence held off a strong challenge from Colen Rushlow of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, securing victory by three shots after opening the event with a tournament-low 68.

The Middle School Boys Division saw an impressive performance from Grady Hayes of Fayetteville, North Carolina, who posted back-to-back rounds of 70 to finish at two-under par and claim a four-shot victory over Benjamin Gates of Richmond, Virginia. Hayes’ steady play across both rounds proved decisive on the demanding River Course layout.

In the Future Stars Division, Cameron Sacramento of Crown Point, Indiana, delivered the low round of the final day, firing a 67 to finish at three-under par for the tournament. Sacramento’s strong closing round propelled him to a two-shot victory over Matthew Schreibman of Reston, Virginia.

The Drip Golf Tour extends its sincere thanks to the staff at Kingsmill Resort for their outstanding hospitality and continued support of junior golf.
