Genier Wins in Playoff at DGT Cutter Creek Junior Open; Ryan Patel and Bryan Wells Take Division Titles

The Drip Golf Tour returned to Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, North Carolina, for the 2026 Cutter Creek Junior Open, where players were greeted by perfect scoring conditions on Saturday before facing challenging winds in Sunday’s final round.

The High School Boys’ Division delivered a dramatic finish, as Thomas Genier of Quebec, Canada, chipped in on the first playoff hole to claim the title over Ryan Hedgecoe of Fayetteville, North Carolina. The two competitors finished tied at 36 holes at 141 (-3). Isaiah Adel of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Miles Elgert of Lincoln, Nebraska, shared third-place honors at 143 (-1).

In the Middle School Boys’ Division, Bryan Wells of Wilmington, North Carolina, put together a dominant performance, winning by nine shots. Wells posted rounds of 72 and 70 to finish at 142 (-2). Benjamin Ackley of Apex, North Carolina, finished runner-up, while Zach Cooper of Zebulon, North Carolina, placed third.

The Future Stars Division featured a tightly contested leaderboard, with Rayan Patel of Bloomingdale, Illinois, securing a one-shot victory. Reid Ehrler of Columbus, Ohio, finished just one shot back, while Luke Walters of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, claimed third place, two shots behind the winner.
